AUGUST 18th 05 was heat 1 of this race. Greyhound Action supporters handed out flyers and held what turned out to be a very succesful demonstion outside Shelbourne Park track for an hour and a half.

Two powerfull megaphones with sirens ensured that punters inside at the races got an earfull. Everytime the tannoy was announcing a race we switched on full blast to drown them out. What helped was the tunnel at the entrance which amplified the sound even more.Many people were genuinely surprised to learn of the deaths that incurred due to racing. They pledged not to return and to spread the word to others.We will be back for the final on September 17th (Saturday).
