"We recently lost a dog who broke his hock in several places
and had to be put to sleep.........To make matters worse a dog
we sold to England also went the same way.........But recently,
or is it my imagination, several high quality dogs of the recent
months have all went the same way.............
Is it the conditions that the dogs have been racing in i.e. the
weather, sand too dry? Or are the dogs just running too hard into
bends that are not safe. I don't know the answer, but there seems
to be a trend it happening here in Ireland - also with several
dogs on the southern tracks also suffering........"
"The time is coming when the anti racing brigade will be
waiting with their cameras to film all these injured dogs -- who's
fault? --management . On that note -- Vets at tracks should have
a list of duties owed to injured dogs--- how many times have we
seen dogs carried to cars, not stitched up or cleaned by attending
vets?"
