Can You Spare a Pound for a Hound?

SWAP team UK/Greyhound Crusaders have received a special appeal from 'Greyhound Gap', a wonderful registered charity in the UK (Charity No: 1113207) who endeavour to save the lives of unwanted Greyhounds and Lurchers in the UK who would otherwise be in danger of 'Put to Sleep'. To see their marvellous work please visit their website - http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/ (Photos in this appeal below are of 'Duke' and 'Frank' just two of the precious hounds whose lives were saved thanks to Greyhound Gap) Currently, Greyhound Gap have no boarding kennels of their own and so have to pay for private boarding for many of the dogs they rescue and as you can imagine this can be very costly and limits them to the amount of dogs they can take in at one time. GG would now like to purchase a property of their own as monthly mortgage payments will work out a lot less costly than paying monthly private boarding fees and also by having their own kennels this will enable them to help so many more desperate Greyhounds and Lurchers in need. Before they are able to purchase a suitable property, Greyhound Gap need to raise £100,000 as a deposit. This target could be reached if everyone who sees this appeal gives just 'one pound' and then spreads the word to others to do the same, including friends and family and by posting the appeal on websites and dog friendly forums across the globe.
