We are in desperate need of funds to keep our battle against the greyhound racing industry going, as
the cost of producing and distributing many thousands of leaflets every week is proving to be a huge
strain on our resources.

If each of our supporters and sympathisers were to donate just £5 towards our campaign, it would
help enormously and bring the day when greyhounds are finally liberated from suffering and slaughter
that much closer.

The Greyhounds Need You!

Help us win the war to save them from suffering and slaughter!

* Commercial greyhound racing began in Britain in 1926.

* Since then, over a million “ discarded” greyhounds have been put to death.

* Hundreds of thousands have been injured on dangerous tracks.

* Greyhound Action was formed in 1997 to stop the suffering and slaughter, by putting an end to the
greyhound racing industry.

* Since our campaign began, about 20 British greyhound tracks have been forced to close, mostly due
to poor attendances.

* Over a dozen proposed tracks have been prevented from opening.

* Greyhound racing has lost half a million race-goers in the last 5 years.

* 5,000 fewer greyhounds are being slaughtered annually in the British Isles.

* Our battle to save the greyhounds is gradually being won, but, sadly, over 25,000 are still being
put to death every year in the UK and Ireland.

* Help us to achieve total victory, so they too can be spared.

* Help us to educate the public not to attend or bet on greyhound racing, so this evil industry
fades away through lack of financial support.

* Most people in this country are fond of dogs and refuse to support greyhound racing, once they are
aware of the plight of the greyhounds.

* Already our supporters are distributing Greyhound Action leaflets outside many of Britain’s major
dog tracks and in city centres all over the country.

* We need more volunteers to join our army of leafletters and campaigners, to spread the “boycott
greyhound racing” message far and wide.

* We need donations to help pay for the production and distribution of tens of thousands of leaflets
and hundreds of posters – the “ammunition” we need to constantly supply to our “troops” in the
“front line”.

* We are a voluntary organisation, so all money received goes to fund our campaign and none is spent
on wages or expensive offices.
