When will Spain become civilized and protect Man's Best Friend from the torture and suffering?

from T.Smith

In January 2005 an owner of a Spanish greyhound in Badajoz, of Extremadura, Spain, stuck a wooden splint in the hound's mouth to prop it open so he couldn't eat or drink, in order to slowly kill him. When the dog didn't die, he took the greyhound to the local dog pound, where a kind Spaniard, and later some Germans, rescued him.

The animal's entire throat and mouth were swollen, infected and oozed pus. The dog could not swallow anything - not even water.

Thanks to the German rescue group (Galgos-In-Not), this animal was given desperately needed medical attention and now has a new life and loving home in Austria. Pictures below are from www.Galgos-In-Not.de

In the United States, the owner of the greyhound who tried to torture his animal by a slow death with a stick in its mouth would be found, tried in a court of law and fined or jailed.
In Spain, the government does N O T H I N G. - T. Smith
