".....the first bend at Ballyskeagh leaves a lot to be desired. VERY TIGHT."

"You're right about the bends at Ballyskeagh at present. If there is no sand soon they will have to think seriously about closing it. Had a good bitch up on Tuesday last week and she broke her foot at the first bend.........Also just back from racing tonight when I seen a dog which there was a big gamble for, fly from the traps four clear only to break down at the first bend again. I really felt for the guy when he carried him off as the vet looked at him and give him the news we all hope we never get to hear that it had broke its hock. I know this is not what you want to hear Paddy, but Ballyskeagh needs sand sooner rather than later before its to late."

"........will be at track tomorrow trying to qualify two pups and my heart will be in my mouth. Lost our last dog there last sat.week. Broke hock in two places. Peter Aurthers put splint on dog as we couldn't get a vet. Had to phone ahead to vet in Ballymena who met us and put the dog out of his misery."
